Hi, I’m Manuela: psychologist, coach, and nature-lover. I work from the belief that therapy should feel like a steady anchor in the chaos. A place where you can feel safe enough to explore what’s been weighing on you and supported enough to start shifting it.

I bring a mix of lived experience, scientific training, and cultural diversity to the work I do. I studied psychology in Germany, completed further training here in Australia, and have worked with clients across all stages of life. From teenagers figuring themselves out to adults navigating change, burnout, or trauma. My approach blends evidence-based strategies like CBT, ACT and mindfulness with a deep respect for the messiness of real life. No one-size-fits-all, no fluff- just honest, grounded, collaborative support.

I’m SIRA-approved and experienced in working with clients under WorkCover and CTP schemes, including those navigating complex recovery processes. I’ve also specialised in working with emergency services personnel, particularly police officers, and understand the unique pressures and challenges that come with these roles.

I’m especially passionate about supporting people through:

  • Anxiety and low mood

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Burnout and stress

  • Relationship challenges

  • Life transitions

  • Emotional regulation and identity work

  • Coaching and decision-making

  • LGBTQIA+ mental health

Therapy with me is conversational, compassionate, and tailored to you. I see the therapeutic relationship as key; so if we’re going to work together, it’s important that it feels like the right fit.

When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll most likely find me in the ocean, walking my dog along the coast, or recharging in nature. Surfing is one of my favourite ways to stay connected to myself, and it’s part of what inspired the name The Break.
